Looking back on a great project!

It was really a great training! We look back on a very interesting and good week. We will start with the after-work now, as Marije has finished all her photos. We have collected most of the photos from all the participants as well. So we will be soon making the final DVD with all the photos and Presentations and PowerPoints: if you have some things we can include, like photos, it would be very nice if you could send them to us by email..!

Also we would like you to remind on sending us all the Tickets you have from your way Back. Also if you found some (Group)subway-tickets from the past days, we would be very greatfull if you send them to this address:

the time is running and we hope that you are looking foreward to come to Berlin and to the project "Queer through the european youthwork".
I will send you some informations of organisation:
 
Accomondation
We will live in the Hotel "Junckers Hotel". The hotel is situated in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.
One of the most popular neighbourhoods in downtown Berlin, it boasts beautiful buildings and architecture dating back to the last years of the 19th century.
Our downtown location offers our guest a wide variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs ensuring an exciting stay in Berlin.
Bus/ tram and subway is all within walking distance of the hotel.
And because all of our rooms are situated at the rear of the hotel our guest is assured of a good nights rest.

During the first night we had to make a compromise: Because of the Loveparade on the 15th of July all hotels are quiet full and so some of us have to stay in bigger rooms. BUT it will be only one night. After that we will stay in double rooms (I hope this will be ok for you!)
 
Insurance
Please make sure that you take your own European Insurance Card with you. Because of the EU it is not necessary for us to make an insurance for you - but please take your card and all the documents (you will need in the worst case) with you!!!!
 
Material
During the Training we will have different possibilities to present our organisations and our project to
interested people:
 - Sonday, 16th of July - the "lesbian and gay Streetfestival" in Berlin, where we will have our own
   stand which we can decorate in a nice way and inform the people about our project
 - Suturday, 23th of July  - the CSD in Berlin
 - Sonday, 24th of July  - the official final presentation of our project and our organisation to an
   interested audience
It will be great if you can bring some materials about your organisations (flyers, posters, flags, give aways, ballons, pins, pencils, sweeties etc...... )

Presentation of your organisation
On Sunday, 16th of July you will hae the possibility to present your organisation to all the participants of our training (maybe as a little speech or power point or ???). because we are arround 8 different organisations it shouln`t take more than 10 minutes! Please tell us as soon as possible what kind of equipment do you need!!
At the end (if you are agree) we would like to collect all materials and put it to the final report for us.
 
National cuisine evening
On Monday evening we will go to a youth centre for lgbt youth. We will visit them and after this we can use their kittchen. The idea is that every country can bring something special - traditional and we will eat and sitt together. It shouldn`t be nothing complicated ... please don`t stress yourselve .... just only to try something.
Only to make sure that you will bring not too less or too much: in our group will be arround 33 people and arround 10 youth will spend the evening with us.
 
Till now some of you didn`t send us the list of participants and the arrival and departure time. If it`s possible please send all informations till Friday, 7th of July, to us ..... we need this informations to make all our reservations more detailed (f.i. in the hotel).

question about the training

Dear Anke,

 

my name is Jacek Kornak. I am a member of KPH. I will be participateing in the training "Queer througt the european youth work". I am not sure if the list of participants from my organisation was already sent, if not I think it will be done soon.

I have a question about the reimbursment of travel costs. I will be traveling from Helsinki, because now in helsinki i do my research on queer theory. It is very hard to find some flight from here which would costs below 300 euros. Would it be possible in my case, as Helsinki is quite far from Berlin, that I will be reimbursed from the higher price? any way i will try to find the cheapest possible flight, but there is nothing availble below 300.

second thing, can you send me some details about the programme of the training?

We´ve got the YES...!

Dear friends,

today is our great day ........ today we`ve got the "YES" for our training "Queer througt the european youth work"!!! We are really soooo happy about this news!

In this Mail we send you some general informations about the training. Later today we will send to everyone a Mail with special informations for the country.

The training will start on the 15th of July (arrival day) and will end at the 24th of July (departure day). We will live and work mostly in Berlin.

The 4 participants of every country should be in the age older than 18 years (it will be easier because of the youth law etc.)

Travelling:
Now you can also plan, organise, reserve and book travel. In the next mail I will send you the maximal travelling cost I applied for. We will refund 70% of the travelling cost, 30% you and your organisation should pay. We will refund the money here in Berlin in €.
Please make sure that you book only in the second class. If you have any news and you know when you will arrive etc. Please let us know!!!

Accomondation:
Because of the budget etc. we will normally book beds in double rooms. If you want to stay in a single room, please let us know and we will try to manage it.
All detail - informations about the accomondation we will send you as soon as possible.

In the attachement you will find:
- the register list (please fill in all the informations about the participants)
- the contact list of all rganisations they will take part
- preliminary programm

To make the training as intersting as possible for everybody please check the preliminary programm and if you have some new ideas or some things to add please let us know and we will try to find a way to react.

And two big questions to you:
As you can see in the program we will also present our project and our organisations to a interested audience ... so it will be great if you can bring some material (poster, flyer, give-aways, ballons, flags ..... etc.) with you!

AND

There will be time and place to present your organisations also to other organisations. It will be very interesting if you can prepare a little introduction about your youth work with lsbt youth and the situation in your country. (max 10 minutes). After the presentation we will collect everything for a publishment (what kind of publishment we will discuss during the training!)

So, we hope this are enough informations for this time :-)))))
